This is heartbreaking. That woman survived physically but her soul was certainly dead. It's so so sad that her way of coping with her hell was putting her own children through it.

Well said. Heartbreaking. When I think of the stories I’ve heard of survivors, the common thread has been one of hope and resilience. But I’ll bet there are many like this. Jarring, sad, and with a legacy on PTSD that greatly impacted their children.
