Amanda Crowe was not only an incredible woodcarver but a beloved teacher. She passed the craft along to her nephew, Bill, who is also a traditional Cherokee flute player and provided the music for today’s Doodle.

I hear that. The other day I had to force myself to take time for a personal piece and wowee—it did wonders. It was so refreshing and exciting. I love (most) of my projects, but even so, the churn of deadlines and revisions can eventually get to me. Important to reset!

My process has evolved to be much more Photoshop heavy, though Illustrator and Photoshop are still the only two programs I use. I’ve never tried drawing on an iPad. How is it?
