Sen. Klobuchar asks what the FTC's role is in investigating Equifax. She cites recent news that CFPB has shelved its investigation. Simons: Doesnt want to pre-judge ongoing case but... "On any major issue involving data breaches I would expect the commission to be all over it."

Sen. Lee asks the nominees if they think the DOJ and the FTC should have the same standard for seeking to block mergers. (They currently have different standards) Simons, Phillips, and Wilson say there is no good reason why there are 2. Chopra says generally there should be 1.
