Even a small reprex (you can use the {reprex} package to help make one) would be useful. Impossible to help otherwise.

John Deere marketers likely had no idea just how bad this is. They likely thought it was "cool" & failed to grok just how skeezy & malicious this tactic is. Whomever they sourced it from is 100% evil & shld be in jail. usbsq[.]com is the launching domain. Block that org-wide.

Those are MY "big intense moments". And I promise you: no engine, no amount of fidelity or well-meaning can capture or portray them. And if it can, throw that engine into the deepest ocean. You don't want what's in my head. And I don't want you to have it.

Everyone's getting into the BlueKeep 🚨 game. US-CERT just rlsd AA19-168A. I, for one, will have little sympathy for any orgs negatively impacted at this pt. You chose to play w/fire by not patching or mitigating & fire often burns. // MS BlueKeep Vuln.

Made this for but other folks might like to see CRAN pkg use of system() vs system(2). Only ~7% of CRAN pkgs shell out to the system directly. FWIW consider using {processx} or {sys} vs system() or system2() unless your shell calls are light.

For those of you testing for the vuln, the module (in GitHub) has been updated to add support for: - Servers requiring TLS (but not NLA) - Config options for hostname, username, etc. Better visibility, easier to blend in now.

They have a methodology section. Any developer with a decent ad-blocker missed an opportunity to participate. For the record: am not dis'ing their report/etc. Just shedding light that measuring "top" (whatever) when it comes to programming languages is fraught with peril.

Another conflicting programming language survey. This time it's the JetBrains "State of Developer Ecosystem 2019" with JS, Java, Python on top (vs Java / C / Python for recent TIBOE). R is in top 20 "used in last 12 months"

Aye. This is going to be used in targeted attacks. 99% of folks won't have to be concerned & Yubico is darn gd abt responding to things like this. (I have 3 keys, 2 perms in sys and one I use mobile so I'm keenly interested in this as well)
