Police tried to stop people from toppling the Columbus Monument during the Battle of Grant Park in Chicago on July 17th and were pelted w/ hundreds of cans of La Croix sparkling water. The statue then got tagged "La Croix the cops".

On July 24th, the Columbus Monument in Chicago was finally removed. It was dedicated by Mussolini in 1933 ("Italy, rejuvenated by Fascism, is happy to join in the celebration") and also featured a bust of Mussolini and an inscription dedicated to the notorious fascist Italo Balbo
