This is an image captured just after #haya2_TD! What is it about the moon that the shadows don't make sense? Why do I clearly see a rock and it's crecent shaped shadow at the bottom of the image, while there is only a shadow of the lander (no lander)?

Not read the article then? It's an asteroid, the satellite has landed, taken a sample and has lifted off again. This photo was taken of the landing site with the shadow of the probe clearly visible.

A bit confusing information. Did Hayabusa take a sample? Is that it or is it going in for more? No pictures from the surface of the asteroid?

HAYABUSA2 touched down briefly, fired a projectile into the surface to gather samples that would break off. It then took off again. It did not stay on the surface. Its rovers did that earlier.
