Salute to the Amazing James Randi, who did more to advance skepticism and rational thought than most. He will be sorely missed.

If you like Among Us or group games like Werewolf, Project Winter has been blowing up overseas for months, just added new modes of play, and best of all is made right here in St. John's. Check it out!

I would put "puritanical attitudes toward masturbation" and "masturbating at the camera during a business meeting" in two different areas of study personally.

In other news, later BNL album "Grinning Streak" features a photo of the entire band, yet none of them are grinning. Discuss.

It's Aluminum, that's the only answer. Not that the other songs aren't great. Just... it's Aluminum. Thanks for reading. Tweet at me another song from any album and I will tell you if it's better or not better than Aluminum.

That's too bad. I wonder what can be done about that.

Great piece. So much has been written about "post-truth" and wondering why Trump's unfitness for office hasn't seemed to matter. I'm not sure as much has been written about the unfettered tribalism that is responsible for it.

A brief interlude into the US, but Biden has been endorsed by Mel Brooks and Mr. Rogers' wife Joanne, while Trump has been endorsed by the KKK, and they still aren't getting it down there.

I don't know if this is the case, but it seems odd that municipalities can't attract youth after events like the Climate Strike show that they are at least to some extent interested in being engaged politically.

Do you think it is a factor for younger people? What I can't get my head around is (to generalize) younger people are more politically engaged and active, but usually from an outsider perspective. They'll organize protest, but not run to work from inside?

I think the lack of public interest in better voting systems and the lack of voting itself is linked. You ask people who don't vote, they say their vote doesn't count anyway. There would be less of that if every vote literally did.

It was a hard run race, and particularly a really well run campaign by relative newcomer who fought her way past other much-more established names for a really impressive showing. Hope to see more from all these folks in the future.

I should mention this isn't particularly about Ward 2 or Mr. Skinner, who very likely would've taken it with either system. But this election was illustrative as the winner nominally has support of less than a quarter of voters.
