«Being black was not always easy». During his trip to the US in 1951, was outraged to read on the door of many institutions «Blacks, Jews and dogs not allowed». Being an artist gave him the privilege to be seen for who he was despite the color of his skin.

Proud grandson! A few days ago, “Antique roadshow” aired the 12th episode of its 24th season. It centered around an art appraisal which took place at the Desert Botanical garden in Phoenix, USA the painting was insured at a minimum value of $75K!
