Remember, while cuts at schools, they spend > $70,000 a day on secretive lease for albatross. The “worst real estate deal in history.” Why should we trust them to make sensible budgets? Clean house in admin. We have a list of names.

Can anyone provide any reasoned argument showing anything top heavy in ? Anyone who has ever supervised anyone. What's the right amount of admin in a 1.4 billion $ organization? (or thereabouts... didn't check the exact number).

In midst of budget and enrolment crises, today’s public board mtg was 25.5 mins. Of that, 15 mins was a school presentation. The remaining time was talking about Metis week and BoT discussing annexed lands on the outskirts of .

Every single Minster of Ed in recent times has had the same messaging for budget: “We expect the CBE to find effeciencies” At some point, the “efficiencies” left are larger, more complex classrooms with less staff in the building to support students.

CBE Lease: gov at the time signed off & approved the lease. School Boards must have Ministerial approval for these decisions. No Trustee or Admin currently at signed lease. welcome any gov recommendations or support to address this.

You must be male to attend the Calgary Boys School. You must be Catholic to work for or attend a CCSD school. You must be athletically gifted to attend a number of CBE sports schools. These and other public schools are very selective in their admissions.

Knowing there is an adult at school; who you can turn to for a few words of support or who will sit w you & create a space to just "be" in that moment is life changing for that student.

Vaillancourt said she was “heartbroken” to read the report, which she said goes against research abt bullying in schools. “It actually defies national statistics...There’s no way that it’s a rare occurrence in their schools. Because that’s not true of any school in Canada”

We're going back through old board meetings to come up with some concrete examples of how often admin try to block proactivity in the boardroom and how dismissive they are to any trustee who challenges their omniscience. We've found a few. THREAD

Once again...Calgary Boys and CCRSD are not part of . Not sure the intent of tagging CBE for venues that are not theirs.
