A5: Sometimes while counseling students, i ask if they would text their parents a simple “thank you for everything you do.” Not only does it put things in perspective for students but parents call me saying how it made their day!

A3 I always try to start with a book. Immediately integrating Language Arts. Then look for what fits authentically. I find if there a challenge has science I can usually find a math connection.
