Hey this is happening on an (Android 8) but not with the same SIM on another handset. After talking to the network provider the is causing network to treat a three part SMS (320 chars) as four so I'm being charged extra. Is this a known issue?

(1) Does this mean that default Sony software for contains no Recovery image? (I hadn't upgraded the phone at all) (2) If I flash "latest Sony software version with the Sony Flash tool", will it fit on the phone? Won't it delete personal data?
