Hey Everybody! So..., I've heard many times that the best writers are avid readers as well. Would you say this is accurate? Does reading more help your writing? I'm just wondering if getting back into reading might inspire some writing too :)

Alright, - what's a fun fact about yourself that you think people who only know you on a surface level would be surprised to learn - let's get to know each other a bit better. Me: I talk like a sailor and love 90s grunge bands.

Let’s do a “getting to know you” game, ! If you have a day job, tell us what you do. For extra credit, tell us something unique about yourself. Me? I own an accounting firm, and I love crazy socks. Here’s today’s pair!

To my friends: How do you go about giving advice in a critique group? I want to give good advice but I tend to be too honest in my opinions and hurt other writer’s feelings.

Time to properly introduce myself: I'm an aspiring author of mostly adult high fantasy though enjoy many different genres. I'm a Ravenclaw, animal lover and an INFP. Introduce yourselves in the replies so we can follow each other and make new friends.

Just killed off one of my favorite characters. Can anyone relate to how shitty that feels? Whats the hardest thing you've ever had to write?

Hey, ! Let's play a game (not the creepy kind)! Send me a picture of your pet and I will match their personality to a fictional character. Results will of course be 100% accurate.

, do you have a clear picture of your MC? Do you give a description in your novel? Is this detailed, or more vague? What do you leave up to the reader to decide about a character's appearance? I tend not no describe people overly much. Is this bad?
