Where do you get your story ideas from? Mine come mostly from dreams.

Awake since half five, not sure if I’m excited, hungry or anxious or a bit of all of them. Coffee is the answer. Then gym. Then bunny care and dog walking. Then wine. I am thinking about wine at 7.30 am. I do not get out much.

For years I wrote and got nowhere. Then in 2013 took a chance on an unknown author and published my first book. Now I have all these 😍. Budding authors out there, please keep writing. If you want it enough, if you enjoy it enough, it will happen.

Hey writers out there: Don't know if you hear it enough, but thank you for pouring your time and effort into your stories. They will help others. They make the world a better place. Thank you. Thank you thank you.

I think every writer out there has felt this... It’s not easy to sum up a 50,000+ word novel into a couple paragraphs, and it’s even harder to let someone read a barebones rough draft.

Things got weird when There was a long pause after a Hello.. They have to think before speaking.. Making eye contact was hard.. Seeing them with others didn't pinch. And knowing that they were hurt still couldn't sooth them.

I would just like to announce that today I have finally broken my 2 month long spout of writer's block by writing 5,000 words of a romance novella. Yes, you heard that right. Romance. 😄

Further evidence of my befuddled brain... writing the same item twice on the shopping list. I didn’t put it in the basket twice at the shop so I’m telling myself I haven’t lost the plot completely..yet! In other news, 3 chapters edited today 🎉 yay!

Is it sad that when I have a new experience, I don't think, 'wow, what a great experience'; instead, my first thought is, 'now I can write about this realistically!'

Yes, Googling 'cute gibberish' and 'top mythical monsters' is part of a writer's job that I've grown so accustomed to.

My Tuesday twitter report: Received one stalker death threat. Received 2 beautiful reader messages, excited for my next book. Wrote 1500 words on my novel. Put on gym clothes this morning. Never went to the gym. (But ate no cake so it evens out?!)

Writer: I haven't written in weeks! Another person: You write in class for a solid 30 min/day. That's, what, 500-600 words? Writer: Doesn't count. That's school.
