All packed up and on our way home after a super fun weekend. We had planned to stay until tomorrow, but extreme weather is predicted to start tonight, bringing lots of snow tomorrow - not fun for breaking camp and driving 4 hrs.

I love camping; a mini vacation with lots of outdoor adventure. This weekend it’s Table Rock State Park in Branson, Missouri. First time visitors- purposefully came in the off-season m. We have the nicest campground host I’ve ever met.

Our hike today took us to a very pretty spot just 40 minutes from our campsite. Visiting here in winter has become a tradition. I have no idea what it looks like in warmer weather!

Inside, breakfast was prepped on the woodstove. French toast I premade last weekend and sausages, coffee and hot chocolate.

After breakfast, we're just chillaxing. I wish the dog would calm down, though.

I struggle with cooking on the stove. It's hot to be near and tricky to keep your food from burning. You need patience. I do not have patience. But today, it all came together and breakfast was good.
