After this male House Finch landed, he seemed to be watching other birds. The House Finch's color is a reflection of what they eat, so I was wondering what kind of berries he had been eating to become this shade of red when he took off and disappeared into the trees.

I thought this bird was a female Orchard Oriole until he exposed his black throat. He was taking nectar from the Japanese Honeysuckle, hanging upside down in some cases. He paused just long enough to check me out before continuing to look for insects and other food.

Please put some in a bowl or dish, tap water is fine, some receptacles need a solid base in case of tipping but they don't need to be fancy. Tinfoil tray if it's all you have
