This morning I went out on horseback on Essex roads to see what it’s like for riders and cyclists. Thank you to the many drivers who slowed down to pass - but some were very fast and much too close. Please remember and watch to see how it went!

Hi, . Had a great experience with 2 of your bin lorry guys today. Details in picture below along with reg number. They should be held up as examples of how to interact with horses and riders.

I have been made aware of incidents involving inappropriate driving when approaching and passing horse riders on Rake Lane. Please take care when driving in this location and remember to Pass Wide and Slow!

To the busdriver that sped through Diggle at 11:15, causing my daughter's horse to spook and canter down the main road, please remember ! No injuries, thank God. Please slow down...
