As I've said at each of the 12 listening sessions I held, no one gets 100% of what they want in state budget. Compromise is a must. The offers solid compromises, funding gov's priorities AND staying true to my own campaign promises. Contact my office with questions.

A lot of misguided rhetoric recently re: user fees in DOT budget. User fees would be if state residents paid for state rd, county residents for county rd, town residents for town rd.

The is completed. It holds spending to the rate of inflation while targeting our state's areas of greatest need; provides a middle class tax-cut rather than increasing property taxes; helps our citizens in need without expanding welfare.

Washburn County has about 16,000 residents. If Wisconsin accepted Medicaid Expansion, an additional $7 MILLION would be invested in Washburn Co. health care. That's $1 million for every 2,285 people. You CAN'T AFFORD to turn this down!

I'll be on at 8:15 to talk about the WI Budget. We were able to fund our priorities without raising taxes. In fact, in most cases, we were able to put more $ than into the initiatives we heard about most. Tune in to listen live at 8:15am.

The committee was called to order and debate has begun on the Republican tax plan. points out how the plan continues to raise taxes on middle class families by reducing the Earned Income Tax Credit and Homestead Tax Credit.
