Diary of a Disabled Person. Sep 9
Why can ableds only think in extremes? Like, a user who can stand or walk a bit, someone visually impaired with a phone, & someone hard of hearing wearing headphones are all obviously lying to get money & sympathy. Why can they not comprehend features?

This : costly, slow, breaks down often, a good fart would tip it over. A ramp: shared cost, good for ALL wheelchair users & other disabilities too, won't fall over. Not including pointless flights of steps in the 1st place: problem solved, you fucking morons.

Why can't ableds say the word wheelchair? It's always "that thing", or just straight up pointing. It's a wheelchair. A chair with wheels. A mobile butt park. That is literally it. use isn't contagious. Saying the word won't cause your legs to spontaneously disappear.

I just witnessed the rudest guy! He treated my disabled neighbor like trash. She asked him to be patient because is in a wheelchair and he said “ that doesn’t concern me, you still need to open the door”.Even left her front door wide open!

This is a real problem. I’ve had asshats try to pile their luggage in and around my on AmTrak, think it’s okay to just touch me, and even use my shoulder as a desk. (I’ve had people prop their laptops on me on the Metro…like I’m not a person.) This needs to end.

I'm shaking and can't stop crying. I don't feel I have any control of my body even. After 4 trips within Europe and 0 times the access team has actually done as promised. Am I just not worthy of being treated as a human or having any dignity

How silly of me to forget about the arbitrary age limit, before which you aren't actually even if you're literally in a frigging .
