It tried to snow a couple times today, but that hasn’t stopped the volunteer canola from popping their heads out. It was so windy today that the birds were walking. Vol canola might need toques tonite, forecast is -7C.

Worked field, 5 degrees, -7 in the forecast = don’t have to be in a big rush to start seeding. Lots of volunteer canola = don’t forget to tank mix with glyphosate for pre-burn.

This is the current look of the landscape today. Gusty winds up to 70km/hr. I’m old enough to remember what it looked like in the 80’s under these kind of conditions. Tell me again how we aren’t doing our part to mitigate climate change.
