Electric cars are part of Washington’s clean energy future. In 2013, we set an ambitious goal to increase the number of EVs on WA roads from 8,000 to 50,000 by 2020. Today, thanks to bipartisan efforts and support from , we reached that goal. And we’re not done.

Seems to me like is going to have to pass new legislation to get car tabs right. My proposal would be to create a new progressively tiered system which has higher tab fees for higher emissions vehicles and REALLY high fees for vehicles classified as “luxury.”

Wow--Health care premiums are actually going DOWN on the Washington Health Exchange! The just approved an average decrease of -3.27% for the 8 health plans approved for our exchange. Great news!!

Right now she & her family sleep on mats. They are hoping for bunkbeds soon. I have other students in various shelters, but this is the only one who openly talks about living there - the rest try to hide it. But it has been good for my class to hear about it.
