I've had a good week. Another system was delivered today that we didn't have in the US. A Sony HB-T7 system. I've never owned an computer before. This will be fun!

I *Loved* this museum. Total geek heaven, and a chance to play with stuff that I don't have in my personal collection 😁

This one was a little different for me. I purchased a non-functioning SGI O2. With a bit of internal clean-up and a quick repair of the CD-ROM drive, I was able to clear the root password and access 4Dwm.

Party like it’s 1985!! I got my retro computer running and connecting to an old-school BBS! You young ‘uns take a good look at this. This is the internet before there was the internet. This beauty is running DOS. No Windows here! My own BBS is coming soon!

So ... Instead of waiting for my de-soldering pump and replacing the whole ic socket I did an emergency surgery! Cut just two broken pins out and replaced them 👨‍🏭🤞

Yep! My ZETA V2 is running fine with my 8 inch NEC FD1165. It's really quite simple. I just needed a little bit to rebuild the new ROM (RomWBW) with the new floppy driver. Then just reburn/flash the ROM (GALEP-5) and that's it.

Would any of my overseas friends be willing to help me get a 48k ? Or are the prices over there as crazy as they are in the US now? Ideally, I'd like to find a + but a regular 48k would do as well.
