. & the are intentionally mischaracterizing the process to support Canada’s struggling news industry. would have Cnd's think that is somehow responsible for allocating federal funds which is unequivocally false.

"Journalists question Liberal government's $600M media bailout plan." Putting our free press into the hands of a highly partisan union boss speaks to the ill intent of Trudeau's Liberals.

Conservatives upset , which represents media workers, will help choose panel to decide how journalism aid package is doled out. Cons deliberately misrepresenting union's role. They also like to show photo Unifor made to mock this cover, yet had no qualms when they did it.

Good grief. Either didn’t read the briefing memo or he’s lying on Twitter about the role of media workers in this funding process.

Unifor must be removed from the panel selecting "trusted" media. Partisan groups risks partisan funding. Stop state sponsored media bias!

Nice to see Sun/NatPost commentators denounce ideological bias in the distribution of government subsidies. Shame they developed their scruples too late to denounce Harper's ideology-based use of CRA audits to attack unfriendly NGOs.

I'm not completely sure what the current situation with is, but it's making Scheer and the Conservatives very angry so I'm 100% for it.

Why did Trudeau put folks committed to stopping Scheer on the “independent” group overseeing which press outlets get GOC subsidies? I understand why he’d want to, just not why he would invite such criticism. His team seems to have no idea how to govern.

I didn't "attack" you, I WAS in disbelief about such an uninformed statement & thought you must be under the influence. If you WERE clear headed, then you're a socialist & therefore a leftist wing nut who approves of biased Gov't handouts which is.....

This is utterly ridiculous. Suggesting a government subsidized media is the only way to retain a free press is wildly illogical. This might be the most insane thing that a regressive has said since they took office in 2015.
