The rape kit scene in highlights how traumatic and dehumanizing the process feels to survivors. Your body IS a crime scene. It’s raw & real. It SHOULD be uncomfortable to watch because it IS uncomfortable.

Started UNBELIEVABLE last night, kept going until I couldn't keep my eyes open any longer. Writing, direction, performances are all spectacular. Also a great blueprint for approaching these subjects with empathy, not exploitation. "Here I am. Send me."

One of the most difficult watches I’ve had this year is . And yet there’s an underlying bed of hope in “Unbelievable”—the hope that there are people out there striving to do what’s right, to pick up people when they’ve fallen and to correct injustice.

The opening episode of is so so distressing. The repetition of the story. The incessant questioning from adults who clearly don’t believe her. The lack of compassion. Too close for comfort I’m not sure I can watch the whole series.

Been watching Unbelievable on Netflix, with Toni Collette It certainly opens your eyes to how victims of rape are questioned after the event, and sometimes not believed. Not everyone acts in the way we 'expect' them too, after a rape. Stay open minded.

blinding show. Incredibly clever and frighteningly real. The treatment of the different victim types is just something I haven’t seen before on a TV drama before

is such a great show. The female characters in this series are so dynamic and powerful. Despite the sensitive subject matter, it was incredibly empowering. Must Watch!!

sitting on the sofa in tears after finishing the limited series. This is probably one of the most chilling yet powerful shows out there. More people need to see and be talking about this. 15/10 would recommend.

Brilliant show. I wish they’d shown the moment the foster mums found out she was telling the truth all along. The attack was less traumatic for viewers than watching Marie get ground down again and again by her foster mums and useless counsellors.

“Who do you want to sue?” “Pretty much everybody, but I thought I’d start with the City.” is absolutely sensational

I put off watching Unbelievable because I wasn’t sure what emotions it would evoke. But I finally watched it over the last 3 days and the series is absolutely amazing. They nailed it.

Why doesn’t Merritt Wever have a Twitter or Insta account so I can tell her how much I love her!?!?

is worth a watch! an honest commentary on a system that often doubts the female survivors of rape. It portrays how PTSD can take different forms for different people & may not always be a textbook manifestation of symptoms.

is an incredible, raw look at trauma and systemic failures. It's a bit hard to watch, but I would highly recommend it. On a related note, I might also highly recommend replacing all of our sexual assault detectives with Merritt Wever and Toni Collette.

“No one ever accused a robbery victim of lying.. or someone who says he was carjacked, it doesn’t happen. But when it comes to sexual assault...” What a sad reality we live in.

Just finished . Not only an incredible piece of polished, beautifully-made telly, I didn't realise just how close they stuck to the real (heartbreaking) story. Hope it wins all the awards.
