Could the decision to withdraw from the UN Human Rights Council be a distraction from the actual violation of Human Rights that is occurring at the U.S.-Mexico border as we speak?

Did you know "Jessica Jones" (Netflix) won a primetime Emmy? Krysten Ritter takes on Killgrave. Carrie-Anne Moss co-stars.

I'm curious to know your thoughts. Personally, I have such mixed feelings on these articles detailing "Here's what we know about the [insert locale] shooter," detailing his name, the weapons used, the forethought, the believed motive, etc.

Would be interesting to see if a pair of glasses aren’t made that can be connected via bluetooth to your phone, so that you can look at something and have your phone tell you what it is or have you phone give you a solution to your problem

Although predictive analytics has been successfully used in the financial and sports industry, that does not mean it would serve well in child protective services. Let’s tread lightly and think carefully before experimenting with our most vulnerable.

Bill Shine and Hope Hicks are both in the running for the next WH Chief of Staff. So the choice is between a former sexual abuse enabler or domestic abuse apologist. Sounds like either choice will fit right in.

Just like the Amazon Echo or Google Home, so many choices, but really what’s the difference besides brand? I think eventually Amazon will rule out all other competitors. A foreseeable future is one where Amazon is the corporate giant that owns all

On one hand, part of me wishes it was covered like suicide. Don't dwell on the method, the weapons, etc. and certainly don't plaster the shooter's name everywhere and give him notoriety that could inspire other similarly-minded individuals.

On the other hand, I want to know *everything* about him. And I also want to know who the victims were, to learn their stories. I want to see the patterns and wrangle my mind around the warning signs. How do you cover mass shootings in a responsible way?

Although data is a useful tool, we shouldn’t outsource sensitive decision-making to machines. Never underestimate the value, expertise and judgment of humans.
