Support the Uber/Lyft strike. Find out what time your local strike is and do not cross the picket line. Remember this isn't about cabs vs contractors, or luddites vs. technology. Its about fair wages for labour & capitalist exploitation.

Uber and Lyft should not be owned by private capitalists. The drivers should run the app as a co-operative.

It seems the only thing the Uber strike proved was how non-essential the service really is. The public simply returned to their pre-Uber modes of transport without fuss or inconvenience, & for 1 day my city became less congested, less polluted & far safer to navigate.

The gig economy is all about exploiting workers by taking away their rights. It has to stop. Uber is the worst actor in the gig economy.

Planning to use Lyft or Uber to get around today, May 8th? Workers are striking in LA, SF, San Diego, Atlanta, NYC, DC, Chicago, Philly & Minneapolis. Support striking drivers demanding job security & livable incomes. Do NOT USE UBER, LYFT, or JUNO.
