I finally figured this thing out — a portable ! And I thought my PC was heavy... Every time I open and close this thing I feel like I’m going to lose a finger. 2 typewriters feels like a collection coming on, which I did not intend. They are collecting me, I think.

I wrote the first draft of “28 Days of Solitude” on my vintage 1954 Underwood Jewell portable typewriter. This was also 2014, so camera quality was meh. Check out the newly re-released version, available on Amazon:
