Today's my 34th Despite what I was told in '85 I still have my health, eyesight and all my limbs. The only problem I've had in the last year or so is painful in my foot. I manage my as best as I can yet there can still be problems.

It still bothers me that my boss told me I can’t have my insulin pen out on my desk. I’m not sure who it was hurting or offending being out, but whatever. People suck.

Went to today to get my diabetic child a Diet Coke. I asked on 3 occasions if it was diet and told yes. Before giving it to her I tried it and it was a full sugar coke. This could of been a trip to the hospital. So so lucky I checked. Not happy.

can be diagnosed at any age. Regardless of what is said by those who are not sure or properly educated about it’s also not what you see in the movies.

I self fund the Dexcom G6 as, after diagnosis, my daughter needed the peace of mind and insight into what was happening with her body. We can now have the Libre but would it be worth the change or should I stick with G6? Right now we barely fingerprick

Not sure why but blood sugar decided to drop at 3am and 8am, but my “life saver” diabetic alert dog woke me up to make sure I was ok.

One thing we don’t talk about as parents of those with T1 is a sense of failure for your child if her blood sugars are not where they should be it’s a constant worry.
