Eating “Khao Mok” for a late lunch. The yellow in the rice comes from turmeric and other spices. The regular version with chicken was 40 Baht and the beef version (neua saep) was 90 Baht. A lot more expensive but really delicious

The news report that the cave boys wanted to eat Pad Kaprao Moo Sap (Spicy Stir-fried Minced Pork with Basil) made me crave for some too. Only $1.20 with a fried egg. This is what I have when I can’t decide what to eat

Now this is a thing of exquisite design: a Tao charcoal grill (size 1). Can’t wait to fire it up, apparently it’s quite efficient. But the bemused looks I got carrying this home in .
