6) Terry complemented Alex Toth’s work superbly on Superman Annual #9, keeping the power of Toth’s designs without sacrificing his own style. Even Toth was impressed!

2) Some Byrne/Austin panels from X-Men #132. As a kid I was fascinated by the textures and shapes Terry created using markers and tech pens. His approach was unprecedented and became highly influential.

1) Happy Birthday to Inker Supreme Terry Austin! I discovered his work in the Star-Lord special he did with John Byrne. It was the summer of Star Wars, and Terry’s work gave this comic a perfect sci-fi shine!
