Anxiety is so unpredictable and unnerving. The past few days have been incredible but now I am feeling as anxious as I’ve been in a really long time. It’s the most draining disorder

My internal world got destabilised recently and I’ve been having more dissociative episodes :/ Completely forgot about the “narcolepsy” response to certain triggers. Which certainly has made this evening interesting when I read something and 😴

I’ve felt that I’ve been ‘doing well’ for ages - now I’m not. It happens and I know that it’s normal, the trigger etc. and yet my brain is almost certain that life is now shit forever and that it’s because I’ve ruined everything for myself. This still happens in recovery

Sooooo, In a couple of weeks I will be seeing my doctor about coming off my current medication (Venlafaxine) I'm feeling kinda nervous tbh. Has anyone got any recommendations for natural remedies? Ideally for depression, mood and anxiety

This time of year can be hard for some people. If anyone needs some kindness in their lives, feel free to DM your address or an email address for an ecard and I'll try and get a happy new year card sent to you! Mental health matters.

What I did this morning: contacted a private therapist. There's something about seeing all your past traumas written out in an email that's intensely degrading yet freeing. Admitting you need more help than a daily anti depressant is hard, but it's the first step.

People who say they are okay with your mental illness are okay with your mental illness until you actually act mentally ill.

It generally really upsets me that some people think it's acceptable to push non-medication methods when you are struggling massively. Just try. No, fuck off. You are not the one who is to deal with the internal effects and thoughts.

I've spoken to Male patients about my own MH battles. It doesn't make me weaker to talk about them. It gives them proof that they aren't alone. I don't lie to them, and I don't tell them it will be sorted overnight, sometimes being honest goes a long way.

We talked about how we are, how we still have ups and downs and how we're both so glad we'd had something to get us through the darkest patch - even if it was unpaid, simple work. When we parted he said 'thanks for remembering me.' You don't forget your co-fighters. 😊
