The monitoring of jailhouse attorney-client calls is icing on a disgraceful cake. Another layer would be the violation of your private conversations with your wife etc. for the purpose of vectoring police, CIs etc to destination points for harassment.

13/ ...data as evidence in US criminal cases UNLESS govt first obtained a valid warrant before gave it the data (+ similar for non-US govts). That would remove a big concern--just make the data inadmissible as evidence unless obtained under a warrant.
