Another book completed. I stayed up really late to finish it and I cried! It's been a while since I've read such an emotional ending.

Where better to read this absolute classic than in Barnsley, Barry Hines's hometown and where the book was set ⁦

My fave read of so far! Maggie 'a middler' uncovers secrets about her village in a superb dystopian story. Eldest, Wanderers, Heroes and Bravery! Literally didn't put it down!

Couldn't put this one down... Maggie is an endearing but 'real' character and I loved how slowly her preconceptions of others are challenged. A book that promotes looking beyond the labels! Will be sharing with our yr7 and 8 in September! Thank you
