I have no friends who have lost a child. None. They’ve been great but they don’t understand. Some of you following know what I’m going through. You’ve experienced it. You’ve shared my pain. I applaud you for surviving.

I had to help explain to my 12 y/o niece that her father, an Iraq Veteran w/PTSD, took his own life. I held her as we cried together. September is Suicide Prevention month. Raise awareness. Share your stories and get help if you need it. You are not alone.

Why I walk? I'm a suicide survivor, and although I still go through depression, I want to be of the best support I can be to others going through the battle or to families that have lost their loved one's.

Over time, I've been asked many questions about my illness. I wrote this to try to explain how 'feels'. Much love 👊
