Why the need to strim such an enormous margin both sides of the Viaduct dual-carriageway ? It wasn't causing any safety issues for traffic. What guidelines are provided to contractors doing these jobs?

I feel like I’ve been run over today. I shifted a shit load of tree branches and stuff the neighbour cut down and just left on our bit so I dumped it all over his driveway 😀 I then did a load of ! It was great!! Took me most of the day.
