Yesterday, recorded its third highest day of calls for overdoses/poisonings since the began. Paramedics responded to 119 calls, the majority in Vancouver (39). Don't use drugs alone, and call 9-1-1 if you see someone experiencing an overdose.

In 2017 BCEHS paramedics & dispatchers responded to 23,441 potential overdose & poisonings. 4,166 more calls than 2016. BCEHS will be releasing weekly overdose/poisoning call volumes.

Great job by Drug Enforcement Unit - arrested teen for trafficking . Teen was awaiting court for previous fentanyl trafficking charges (some don't learn). targeting those selling this poison and who are assoc. to gang conflict.
