Exploitation Spice! How did the Spice Girls sweatshop t-shirt happen, when companies registered with need to comply to Fair Wear "standards"- "Freedom of Association", "Payment of a Living Wage", "Reasonable hours of Work". Is this just greenwashing?

It is sad to see another story about failing to live up to their Fair Wear credentials and apparently allowing sweatshop conditions in the production of their clothes. Brands need to work closer with local unions to ensure decent conditions.

Nasty Spice! Shocking to hear that the supplier of the sweatshop made t-shirt for was sourced by who are a member of the multi stakeholder initiative . How??? When will "ethical fashion" make labour rights a priority?

This is sadly an indicator of how complex the supply chain is. is convinced that they respect the rights of the men and women that they employ. It’s hard to guarantee worker rights when Bangladeshi factories outsource due to high demand
