Hiked and activated Rogers Peak W0C/PR-025 13,391 Ft. My 20th summit. Just crossed 100 Activator points and 200 summit to summit points. Unfortunately I broke my antenna mast in the process.

When your neighborhood summit is a mansion, a different kind of ? I suppose if I walked up their driveway and activated from their swimming pool that would satisfy the letter of the rules...but just doesn’t seem right.

Ps, working on an inflatable ‘directional YAGI’ I have developed for HF, with 8dB Gain, 150watts, don’t have time at the moment to develop, But it’s looking good on our machine! 40m & 20m !!! fits in your backpack! 550 grams, with hand Air pump, keep in touch!!

Tomorrow 3 SOTA activators have alerted for the only summit I've not chased of all the G-regions, Kirk fell (G/LD-014). Between them they have alerted for 40/20m, 2m ssb/FM and 23cm ssb. I'm now planning which hill to go and how much kit to take to make sure I get them!🙂

what app do you use to log on activation? I still use a really small notebook, then dispose after posting in database.

I only log my outings on my phone then delete them. If I need to verify a QSO they are on the SOTA site to reference or in the cloud on HamLog. I just didn’t find a use for reams of papers or files I won’t look at 🤷🏼‍♂️. Seems few tx or rx qsl cards anyway ..

This afternoon I tried to activate VE2/LR-005 (Montagne Noire). But I only made 1 contact with VE2JCW, which means that my activation isn’t valid. Nice trails which includes a memorial to the 1943 Saint-Donat Liberator III crash.
