Recovery has given me the ability to not just look after myself, but to make a difference in the lives of others. Today, I am grateful for the life I love, the people I know, but most importantly for the sobriety I have today. 892 days and counting.

19 months ago. That is the last time I saw my brother. He’s been in FL this whole time, getting better. And I couldn’t be more proud to tell you he’s been sober for 591 days now. I am in tears. I am so happy he is finally living the life God intended him to have. 💜

I’ve been for a nice walk with my boyfriend & have come home and tidied the house. Now to bake some brownies (and not that kind!) is a blessing.

Thought I'd share an old diary entry I found from 2013. A little incoherent but I wrote this while drunk. God I am glad how far I have come. Word of the day, GRATEFUL!!

Day 79: My bipolar has been kicking my ass recently but finally on new meds and starting to feel better. This program has definitely helped me not just stay sober but stay sane.

Being in recovery during a pandemic isn’t easy. This last year has been very difficult but I managed to keep my head above water. Today I am officially Four years Sober, and I am truly thankful. Here’s to many more. One day at a time!

Granted my early 20’s and late teens were the beginning of my alcoholism and drug use but g’damn if I didn’t make my life long best friends then. Super happy to be alcohol free, mentally stable(r)ish some days, and a life full of real love.

Before getting sober, I didn’t know that was a choice. I thought you just felt it (when I got my way) or not (when I didn’t). taught me I can work at gratitude and life gets better, and today I’m incredibly grateful for blessings in my life, esp the people!

My incredible mom has 24 years sober this month! Almost a quarter of a century!! And she’s currently getting her Master’s degree in , while working full-time as a corporate admin, giving virtual piano lessons, and doing a social work internship! What a woman!
