Be a responsible camper 🏕️ by (1) always checking fire restrictions and, if fire is permitted, (2) know how to extinguish hot coals. If your campfire is too hot to touch, it's too hot to leave! .

With Smokey's birthday coming up, it's a good time to be conscious of how our actions can prevent forest and wildfires. After a campfire was left lit, a fire sprang up in Big Pine Key; fire crews contained the blaze.
