With the new SLGA rules regarding issuance of retail liquor permits, no businesses in a Village can ever expect to be issued a retail liquor permit. SLGA issues only to communities with populations of 500 or more. Unfair

SLGA denied a retail liquor permit to a retailer in a Village in SK with a surrounding population base of 3,000. A May 20 announcement indicated it would not issue permits to communities with less than 500. No Village in SK will ever be issued a retail liquor permit.
