The question we get most about is "how long will it last?" While we don't have any photos of aged yakisugi from America yet, we do have hundreds of photos of traditional yakisugi applications in Japan for you to see for yourself!

All yakisugi starts out the same - as Japanese cypress. It's then burned to create Suyaki, then can be brushed to knock the soot down to create Gendai, or brushed twice to create Pika-Pika. Learn more about it on our site:

cladding for the rear doors-added tape so I remember where to screw 🧐 next up.....bed frame 🛏️ and rear wall which will have shingles on the garage side and a window/shutter....I think 🤔 Keep the garage separate and heat in. 🥶
