RIP Shopko! We have enjoyed shopping in your stores for as long as we can remember! Some of the ladies headed out to shop until they DROPPED! Everything was on super sale, so we took advantage! Fun times were had by all!

So, when are we going to take seriously the issue of hedge fund "investors" loading up US companies w/ debt, paying out huge bonuses, driving the companies into the ground, and leaving huge holes in local communities & employment?

It might take ten or more years to happen. Sun Capital "bought" in 2005. It took some 14-15 years to crash and burn into a liquidated mess. Still, point is, this hedge fund didn't buy B&N to run it. Long-term? I say not good.

Even tho I refuse to acknowledge Valentine's, I just got my heart wrecked on Valentine's. My favorite job ever is gone. Our warehouse is being closed. All my team, all my awesome managers... We're all out of work in 60 days. It hurts to lose all of them. We were amazing.

When retail department store chain filed for bankruptcy in January, it didn't generate the same level of attention as when Toys R Us ended operations in 2018. But both can blame PE.

Oh please, please pick me, Mr. Kotter! What ever could go wrong here? Let's see, ask other retail chains owned this way what happens. Oh, sorry. You can't. They go out of business. That's what. Ask I feel for the workers if this sours.
