An excellent read. One of my dad's jobs as an apprentice patternmaker was mixing loam for bell casting. When he retired there were no apprentices to hand his tools onto, as tradition. The tools he has have been used by 3 generations of patternmakers

OH MY GOD. I'm an American who was so profoundly affected by the foundry. The Liberty Bell was cast there. I've let the Daughters Of The American Revolution know.
