Intrigued by this geological found by a farmer last May (2019), I cracked it open with an Estwing. Inside, my little niece and nephew found the caked culprit: a nucleus around which sediment was deposited millions of years ago.

Fine-grained sandstone is a great material to build from. Easy to sculpt and in plentiful supply here in Yorkshire. But it does have a downside, it is easily eroded (compared to other material), shown by these blocks/bricks in Morley
