q: if your string is immutable, is there any reason to use Arc<String> over Arc<str>?

I’ve just found that are going to add async await syntax very soon, and the planned one just seems off. It seems to mix usage badly purely for slight usage improvements. The {} syntax looked much better, rust-like, and supported what they wanted anyway (i.e. chaining)

Hi folks, rustup update is failing to update nightly for me. It seems because clippy's build is broken for 5/23. So, presuming clippy builds for 5/24, I should be able to update tomorrow, no?

There's a fairly longstanding pattern now of Rust language fans dissing Go. I heard a new purported reason why Go is inferior last night - "it doesn't have a package manager". All this time I've been fairly happily using the one Go has as a part of its toolset?
