Tomorrow, the Duke of Cambridge will visit the tomb of his great-grandmother Princess Andrew of Greece (Duke of Edinburgh’s mother). She’s buried near her murdered aunt Grand Duchess Elisabeth Feodorovna of Russia, who was a huge source of inspiration for her.

Princess Andrew of Greece, the Duke of Edinburgh’s mother, hid a Jewish family in Athens during WW2. Therefore, Yad Vashem honoured her as ‘Righteous Among the Nations’ in 1994. The Duke and his sister Princess Georg Wilhelm of Hanover attended the ceremony.
