Geological mimetism. This small creature is a reptile of Phrynosoma sp taxa (commonly known as horned lizard). Thanks to its granitic skin, it is perfectly 'stealth' over granitic rocks!

Hi geo-twitters! Today I am hampered by this. I interpreted this rock incorrectly in the field. Now I prefer this as type of carbonatite but not for sure. Any suggestions? Calcite was from the two arrays of the cleavages, not sure for the Phlogopite

Got some more neat rocks! The large one is tektite (been wanting a piece for a while), and left to right we have polished agate x2, snowflake obsidian, gypsum, and obsidian! I call this colour scheme β€œdusk”
