As often on I’m listening to Britten’s War . It’s an amazing conflation of the Latin text of the Requiem Mass with the powerful plea for peace in the poem’s of 1st poet Wilfred Owen MC. I find this section particularly poignant:

I made a confession before Mass, so I gladly and joyfully received the Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of Jesus in Holy Communion. Interesting that some would say this is toxic. Don't quite understand that.
