This was just a quick test to see how my setup performs on Andromeda. 25x 2min exposure. In the coming months I plan to acquire 5 to 10 hours! Sony A6300 with William Optics Redcat 250mm on a Star Adventurer.

I added two hours of data to my Andromeda dataset and the image became absolutely stunning! The processing became a horror trip, but only the result counts.

This is a colorful region near the center of the milky way, showing the lagoon nebula and the trifid nebula, embedded in millions of stars! Captured with an unmodified Sony a6300 and my lovely William Optics Redcat 250mm telescope!

Shooting faint nebula on the longest days of the year probably wasn’t my best idea. But considering that’s my first go at the Elephant’s Trunk, I’m relatively happy with it.
