In my tweet I draw attention to this magnificent building @ โ€™s Amherst St. Now known as Marwari hospital, it was built as Hospital for urban poor in 1835. Originally founded in 1791, this was its 4th location.

Similar to it's namesake in Dublin city centre, George's Street in Dรบn Laoghaire is always worth looking up at to see all the beautiful red brick detail on the shop fronts.

While walking around yesterday we encountered this beautiful but rundown structure. A section of the roof had caved in & the building is reclaimed by nature. It looked eerily beautiful & probably was the bungalow of the curator at some point.

I've been to Temple Newsam thousands of times and never noticed this, one of the path is paved with bricks made at the brickworks that was on Elland Road before our famous football ground.

I look back now to my experiences in the 90s and watching the institutional collapse of demarcation in critical humanities at Universities. This was a bad thing. Neomanagerialism has exploited this with horrendous consequences for intellectual production.

To my German eyes, a red brick tower like this evokes a church in some city. As a matter of fact, itโ€™s the Thousandth Anniversary of Islam Mosque in . #โ€ฆ
